Terms of service

Last updated 26 Oct 2026

These terms apply when you use ARK Planner, the room and home planner at arktools.dev and in our apps. Please read them before you create an account. By creating an account or using ARK Planner you agree to them.

1. About ARK Planner and these terms

ARK Planner is provided by ARK (“ARK”, “we”, “us”). It lets you draw rooms and homes, lay floors and finishes, furnish them from the ARK library and from stores’ catalogues, see them in 3D, make mood boards and photos, and work with an AI assistant that changes the plan for you.

If you use ARK Planner for a company, such as a store on our Enterprise plan, you accept these terms on its behalf and confirm that you may do so. A separate written agreement with that company comes before these terms where the two differ.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to create an account.

2. Your account

Give us correct details when you sign up and keep them up to date. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

An account is for one person. A company’s staff each have their own seat; seats may not be shared.

3. Plans, credits and payment

ARK Planner has a Free plan and paid plans (Premium, Studio and Enterprise). What each includes and costs is shown on the Pricing page and when you buy. Free gives you the planner with one project; the assistant, image generation and some other features need a paid plan.

Premium and Studio are monthly subscriptions. They are paid in advance through our payment provider, Stripe, and renew each month until you cancel. Enterprise is agreed with us directly.

Credits pay for AI work: the assistant, generated images and photos, and 3D models made for you. A task uses credits according to the work it takes, and the planner shows your balance. Your plan’s credits are renewed each month. Unused credits, including extra credits you buy, do not carry over: they lapse at the end of the month they belong to. If a task takes your balance below zero, the difference is taken from the next month’s credits. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.

A higher plan or more credits applies as soon as it is paid. A lower plan, or cancelling, takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; until then you keep what you have. Except as described in section 4, or where the law requires it, we do not refund payments for periods or credits already begun.

We may change our prices. A new price for a subscription applies from your next period after we have told you about it at least 30 days in advance; you may cancel before it applies.

4. Your right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU and EEA)

If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you may withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of making it by telling us so (see Contact). When you buy, you ask us to start the service at once. If you withdraw, we refund the payment less a fair share for the time the plan was in use and the credits already used. Once the credits you bought have all been used, you can no longer withdraw from that purchase.

5. Cancelling, moving to Free and deleting your account

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account. When an account moves to Free, the project you worked on most recently stays open and your other projects are locked. Locked projects cannot be opened; they are kept for 30 days and then deleted, unless you move back to a paid plan before then.

You can delete your projects and your whole account yourself. When you delete your account we delete your profile, your projects and what you have uploaded. We keep the record of payments and credits we must keep for accounting, and the 3D models the assistant made for you (see section 7), without your name or e-mail.

6. Your content

What you put into ARK Planner is yours: your plans and drawings, notes, mood boards, photos, pictures from Pinterest, and files and models you upload (“your content”).

You give ARK a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and show your content as needed to run ARK Planner for you: to save it, draw it in 3D, send it to the AI models that work on it, and show it to the people you share it with. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies that are part of a public share someone else has already seen, or that we must keep by law.

When you share a plan publicly, anyone with the link can see a read-only 3D view of it, sites can embed it, and if you choose it, it is shown in Public projects on our website. You can stop sharing at any time; old links then stop working.

Only upload what you have the right to use. You are responsible for your content and for making sure it does not break the law or anyone else’s rights, such as copyright in photos or 3D models.

7. The assistant and what AI makes

The assistant and other AI features use models from third-party AI providers. To do the work, your instructions and the relevant parts of your plan and pictures are sent to them. We use these providers on business terms under which they may not train their models on what we send them.

AI makes mistakes. Check what the assistant does to your plan, and the measurements, products and quantities it suggests, before you rely on them. Generated pictures may not show products, materials or light exactly as they are.

You may use the pictures, photos and plans you make in ARK Planner for any lawful purpose, including commercially, within the limits in section 9 for the ARK library.

3D models of furniture and other objects that the assistant makes for you go into your library, and you can use them in your plans. ARK owns these models and may keep them, improve them and add them to the ARK library for others to use, also after you have deleted your account. Do not ask for models of products or designs you know to be protected by someone else’s rights.

8. Plans are not construction drawings

ARK Planner is a tool for planning and seeing ideas. Its plans, 3D views, measurements, quantities and price estimates are guides, not construction or installation drawings, and they are not checked against building regulations, structural requirements or the rules for electrical, plumbing, gas or ventilation work.

Before you build, buy or order, check the measurements on site and have the work planned and carried out by qualified professionals where the law or common sense calls for it. Colours, textures and light on a screen differ from real materials; look at real samples before you choose.

9. The ARK library and our rights

ARK Planner itself, its software, design and the ARK library of furniture, materials, textures and plants belong to ARK or our licensors. You may use them inside ARK Planner, and use pictures and plans you make with them as described in section 7. You may not copy, download, extract or sell the library’s 3D models, materials or textures, or use them outside ARK Planner.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely.

10. Stores and their customers

Stores use ARK Planner to plan with their customers. A store’s catalogue, its products, prices, stock and offers, comes from the store, which is responsible for it. Anything you buy from a store is an agreement between you and that store, under its own terms; ARK is not part of it.

If a store or a Studio account shares a plan with you, its staff can see and work on that plan with you, and the store holds the customer details you give it. The store is responsible for how it uses your personal data.

A company that uses ARK Planner with its own customers is responsible for having the right to add their details, and for its staff’s use of the service.

11. Acceptable use

Use ARK Planner fairly and lawfully. You may not:

  • break the law, or upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else’s rights, or is hateful, violent, sexual or harassing;
  • try to reach plans, accounts or data that are not yours, or test or get round our security;
  • get round the limits of your plan or the credit system, or share an account;
  • copy, scrape or extract the service, its library or other people’s content with automated tools, or put an unreasonable load on it;
  • reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it;
  • use the assistant to make content that is unlawful or misleading, or that pretends to be someone else;
  • resell or rent out ARK Planner without our written agreement.

12. Other services

ARK Planner works with services run by others, such as Stripe for payments, AI model providers, and Pinterest if you connect your account. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them. You can disconnect Pinterest at any time.

13. Changes to ARK Planner

We work on ARK Planner all the time, so features may change, and some may be marked as early or experimental. We aim to keep it available but cannot promise it will always be, or be free of errors; sometimes we need to pause it for maintenance. If we remove something important that you have paid for, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.

14. Suspension and ending

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, puts others or the service at risk, or that the law requires us to. Where we can, we tell you first and give you the chance to put things right and to save your plans. You can stop using ARK Planner at any time.

15. Responsibility and liability

If you are a consumer, you have rights under the law that these terms do not limit.

As far as the law allows, ARK is provided as it is, and ARK is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost data or the cost of building work or products ordered from a plan. Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in those 12 months, or 100 euros if that is more.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

16. Personal data

We handle your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and only as needed to provide ARK Planner, bill you, keep the service safe and meet the law. You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it (see Contact), and you can delete your account yourself. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we tell you by e-mail or in ARK Planner at least 30 days before it applies. If you do not accept it, you may cancel and delete your account before then; if you keep using ARK Planner after that, the new terms apply.

18. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Swedish law, and disputes are settled by Swedish courts. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you may bring a dispute before the courts or the consumer dispute board there. Please contact us first: most things can be sorted out quickly.
